The short answer
There are three ways to make a wallet findable with Apple Find My: put an AirTag on it, slip a card-shaped tracker inside it, or buy a wallet with the tracker built in. All three show your wallet on the Find My map and let you ring it when it is nearby. The differences are thickness, charging and how much you have to think about it. If you want the slimmest setup that works with any wallet, a tracker card is the best fit. If you want a MagSafe wallet you never have to think about, built-in tracking like the Fantom M Pro is the cleanest answer.

How wallet tracking with Find My works
Apple's Find My network uses the iPhones, iPads and Macs around you to spot a tracker and report where it is, privately and anonymously. That is why a tracker can show up on the map far from your own phone, in a taxi, a restaurant or an airport. When you are close, you can make it play a sound to find it under a couch cushion or in a bag. You need an Apple device with the Find My app to set it up and see it.

Your three options
1. An AirTag in a holder
Apple's AirTag is a round tag, 31.9 mm across and 8 mm thick, that runs on a coin cell battery you replace yourself. On recent iPhones it supports Precision Finding, which points you to it with an on-screen arrow. The catch for wallets is shape. A round, 8 mm tag either bulges in a pocket or needs a holder on the outside of the wallet. If you already own AirTags, Fantom's AirTag Holder mounts one to any Fantom with an adhesive base, and lets you swap the battery without removing it.
2. A tracker card
A tracker card is the size of a credit card and sits in your wallet with your other cards. The Fantom Tracker Card is 1.9 mm thick, works with Apple Find My, has a 90 dB ringer and lasts up to about six months on a charge. Instead of replacing a battery, you lay it on any Qi, Qi2 or MagSafe wireless charger. It is IP66 water resistant, and it fits every Fantom wallet, so you can add it to the one you already carry.

3. Tracking built into the wallet
The Fantom M Pro is a card-fanning MagSafe wallet with an Apple Find My tracker inside the wallet itself. It snaps onto the back of your iPhone and holds 4 to 13 cards, depending on the size. The tracker has a 95 dB ringer, lasts up to three months per charge and tops up on any wireless charging pad. Nothing takes up a card slot and nothing sits on the outside.

Which one should you pick?
- You already own a Fantom S, X or M: add the Tracker Card. It keeps the wallet slim and needs no battery changes.
- You already have spare AirTags: the AirTag Holder puts one to use, as long as you don't mind a little bulk on the outside.
- You want your wallet on your phone, with tracking built in: the Fantom M Pro. One thing to carry, and every card slot stays free.
- You want a pocket wallet and the most cards: the Fantom X with a Tracker Card. Compare the lineup on our comparison page.

Frequently asked questions
Does a tracker card need charging?
Yes. The Fantom Tracker Card lasts up to about six months per charge and recharges on any Qi, Qi2 or MagSafe wireless charger, with no cable or port.
Do I need an iPhone to track my wallet?
All three options here use Apple's Find My network, so you need an Apple device with the Find My app to set up and locate your tracker.
Will a tracker card fit in my Fantom wallet?
Yes. The Fantom Tracker Card fits every Fantom wallet and takes up one card slot.
Is a tracker card better than an AirTag?
For a wallet, usually. It is much thinner and it recharges instead of needing new batteries. An AirTag's advantage is Precision Finding on recent iPhones, which guides you to it with an arrow when you are close.
