It's been a few months since I've received my wallet. The fantom wallet has replaced my trayvax that I've used for 6 years now. These were the two wallets I was interested in back then and only went with trayvax since I'd received it free to do a product review on. Which I did fall in love with! I'll be comparing this wallet against the trayvax. Fantom 5-10 card model: The fantom wallet has features I do like so far. It is a bit taller than the trayvax due to the lever action. Still feels compact in the pocket, don't notice much difference. The lever action is smooth feeling with a bit of " I may break this." And you may do so if you tend to push up on it to hard. It does go back down on it's own after letting go of it and may feel a bit hard at first. It'll loosen up after using it for awhile. The fit of the cards in the wallet are also a bit tight at first and like the lever, it'll loosen up as well. Which seems like the cards are too loose and that they'll come out on their own. I've had violently shaken the wallet numerous times to see if they will and they have not flown out. The spread of the cards could be better. I only have 7 cards in it and the last card spreads out more than the others. It could be that I don't have it full that is causing the other cards not to spread as much. It is a step down design on the piece that pushes the cards (you'll see what I mean when you look in it). The cards could be slipping off of the arm to the next step. As I said, I don't have it fill with 10 cards. It does have room to move and be pushed by a different level on the arm. Unable to test the rfid on it as I don't have anything to test that. Here's hoping it works. The quick access of the top card is a nice touch to just sweep it out with just your thumb. No need to always use the lever to just get the one card you use the most out. Quick in and out. And if I remember right. It may seem a bit tight at first to get that top card out. And just like the others. After a bit it'll be easier once broken in. The black frame and carbon fiber design is a beautiful look. There is some flexing between the side covers if you squeeze it. Makes me think this isn't a full aluminum design as stated. Sadly, not sure how. The frame did get some damage not long after having it. Got some shining metal showing now. I did get the money clip for it to hold my bills. You need to be careful when screwing it on to not screw it all the way down. Do your best to tighten both screws down about the same amount and test the clamping force. If you screw both screws down all the way it'll be too much clamping force and may cause issues/damages. It comes with 4 screws. Two different tread pitch, read the instructions to use the proper screws. Overall, it is a great wallet for a minimalist design to carry around in your front pockets. Quick access for most common card used and a spread of your cards with a lever. Compared to my trayvax wallet that only has a web strap to hold the cards down and is a bit of an annoyance to adjust the strap and if one card is out the others are loose and can slide out if tilted. I do like the fantom a bit more. I do think the wallet should of included the money clip for the price you're paying for it rather than another 30-40 bucks on top of the cost of the wallet. I give trayvax the win on this as it is part of the full metal design body.
