The short answer
Pick the Tracker Card if you want nothing on the outside of your Fantom and no batteries to replace: it takes the place of one card in the stack, measures 1.9 mm, and recharges on a wireless charger. Pick an AirTag holder if you already own an AirTag and don't mind it riding on the outside of the wallet. Fantom S owners get a holder made for their wallet; every other Fantom uses the universal holder.

When the Tracker Card is the better choice
Choose the Tracker Card when a clean outside matters most. It slides into the card stack and uses one card's space, so the outside of the wallet stays clear and nothing catches on your pocket. It also suits people who don't want to keep spare coin cells around: you lay it on the same wireless charger you use for your phone. It works with Apple Find My only, so you need an iPhone, iPad or Mac to set it up and see it on the map. Because it is card-shaped, it also works in a bag or luggage.

When an AirTag holder is the better choice
Choose an AirTag holder when you already have an AirTag you are not using. The Fantom S AirTag Holder is made for the Fantom S, comes in a version for the 7 and 10 card sizes and one for the 13, and installs alongside the money clip. On the Fantom X, the holder does not count as the wallet's one modular attachment, so you can still add a cash, coin, key or ID holder. The Universal AirTag Holder sticks to any Fantom wallet, or to a laptop or bike, and lets you swap the AirTag battery without taking the holder off. Each kit has two holders.

Frequently asked questions
Does the Tracker Card work with Android?
No. The Fantom Tracker Card works with the Apple Find My network, so you set it up and track it from an iPhone, iPad or Mac. If you carry an Apple device, it shows your wallet on the Find My map and rings at 90 dB when you are close.
Can I use an AirTag holder and a modular attachment on the Fantom X?
Yes. The Fantom X takes one modular attachment at a time, such as a Cash, Coin, Key or ID Holder or a Silicone Band, and the AirTag holder does not count toward that limit. You can carry a cash holder and an AirTag at the same time.
How long does the Tracker Card last on a charge?
Up to 6 months per charge. When it runs low, you lay it on any wireless Qi or MagSafe charger, the same way you charge a phone, and put it back in your wallet. There is no battery to replace.
Where does an AirTag sit on a Fantom wallet?
An AirTag measures 8 mm and sits on the outside of the wallet in its holder, so it adds a little depth where it is mounted. If you'd rather keep the outside clear, the 1.9 mm Tracker Card sits inside with your cards instead and uses one card's space.
