I'm a Convert
I kept seeing these kind of slimline wallets advertised and my old leather one was on it's way out, so I did some research (there are MANY of these things!), crossed off all the ones that didn't include an optional coin tray (much as I hate them, I do still get coins) and any which didn't include a money clip (again, I do mostly use cards - but it's handy to have cash and people do sometimes pay me using that). If you genuinely only have cards, I'm not sure you need a wallet at all? Most phone covers have slots for cards and I'm sure you've got one of those - actually, if you don't have a phone cover, read on. Eventually, I ended up with the Fantom, mostly because it was A LOT cheaper than the top-rated Ridge. First things first, the coin tray, cleverly hidden within the card-fan lever, does not take UK £1 coins. It's not a massive deal, I know - but it was irritating. It does take every other UK coin. The '4-7 card' model I bought takes my three embossed credit cards plus three non-embossed cards (driver's licence, etc) but definitely no room for any more. The fan mechanism is pretty cool and getting the most-used first card out of the wallet is quick and simple. Others are maybe not quite so quick to access - but it's not bad. The money-clip does it's job but be warned: if you keep your phone in the same pocket as your wallet, make sure you're aware of which way you put it in your pocket and/or make sure you have a decent phone cover as that clip WILL scratch your phone. My leather case now has some notable dents and scratches caused by the wallet being in the same pocket. This is a minor gripe that won't affect everyone and could be avoided by being aware which way you face the money-clip when putting it in your pocket (or put it in a different pocket, obviously). But these minor niggles aside, I do actually like it: it looks cool, it's marginally slimmer than my old so-called 'bulky' wallet (not convinced it's that much slimmer, truth be told, but it certainly is a bit) but definitely a good cm or two smaller in width, and it's dead easy to carry around - honestly, you'll not notice you're carrying it, at times. Yes, I like it and believe it's worth the money. Delivery was surprisingly quick, too - I think it was less than a week.
